Ellie Biscuit 20 & 10-Mile Trail Trot, presented by Community Bank

SANTA ROSA BEACH, FL

***PLEASE BE ADVISED: THOSE THAT REGISTER AFTER 12/29 ARE NOT GUARANTEED A HOODIE ON RACE MORNING.  WORST CASE: I GET IT TO YOU A WEEK OR SO AFTER THE RACE.  I SHOULD HAVE ENOUGH (ON RACE MORNING), BUT...NO GUARANTEES.

Welcome to year #4 of the Ellie Biscuit 20 & 10-Mile Trail Trot, presented by Community Bank - we're anticipating that this will be the best year yet!  The Ellie Biscuit will be taking place on Saturday, January 6th, 2024 at Pt Washington State Forest Eastern Lake Trailhead.  The 20-mile (solo + 2-person relay) kicks off at 7:00a, the 10-mile race at 8:00a.  As always, this is a relatively bare bones, no frills kind of run.

Course: Again, the Ellie Biscuit will be starting at the Pt Washington State Forest Eastern Lake trailhead, off of CR-395S.  The courses themselves are on the Pt Washington State Forest trail system.  For those unfamiliar with the Pt Washington State Forest…to be sure, it’s Florida forest at its absolute finest!  A truly beautiful course.  The 10-miler will consist of a single loop of the 10-mile course, with the 20-miler consisting of two laps of the 10-mile loop.  The Ellie Biscuit also now offers a 2-person relay option, with each person completing a 10-mile loop.

Course maps can be found at: https://www.runrotorhead30a.com/ellie-biscuit

Terrain:
While on the trails you can expect tree roots, rocks, sand, fallen over trees, and potentially, if there's rain, standing water and mud.  In other words, pure awesomeness!!!  Again, I just wanted to discuss the terrain so no one shows up on race day expecting a groomed running path with no trip hazards and with aspirations of going home with clean shoes.  Simply put, not gonna happen!

Swag/Awards: All registered runners will receive the customary Ellie Biscuit race hoodie.  This year's may be the coolest yet.  Then again, I think we said that last year too.  Anyway, it's going to be way cool!  There will be awards given to the men’s and women’s solo winner and runner up from each course, as well as to the winner and runner up from the 20-mile relay.  And all registered runners who successfully complete their race will receive an always cool finisher’s award.

Packet Pick-up: “Packet” pick-up will be taking place on race morning ONLY – packet is in quotes because you’ll literally only be picking up your bib, (4) safety pins, and your hoodie.  Just show up ~30 minutes before your race – easy stuff!

Promo Codes: ACTIVE-DUTY military, police, sheriff's deputies, fire, and paramedics, please use the HERO1 promo code to receive 25% off your registration. RETIRED military, police, sheriff's deputies, fire, and paramedics, please use the HERO promo code to receive 15% off your registration. All of the local-area middle school + high track and cross-country team runners and staff can get 10% off by using the SCHOOL promo code. Area running clubs should have their own code for 10% off: 30AWALKRUN  LULU  RUNDESTIN  NWFLTC  HAMMERDOWN  FLTFTINLETBCH.  Also, if you want to run but the registration fee will TRULY set you back financially, please know that a few registrations have been set aside for such situations. Please contact us at RunRotorhead30a@gmail.com and we'll get you taken care of.

NOTE: Should none of the above discounts apply to you, PLEASE don’t reach out and ask for a special discount for your particular profession.  Fact is, our prices are already discounted.  Race management is all prior military, so there's a special place in our hearts for military and first responders – hence the additional discount.  And we also try to support the local running community.
